An Auto Glass Safety Council Master Technician has met advanced experience, certification, and testing requirements for automotive glass replacement. The formal AGSC title is Certified Master Replacement Technician. To qualify, a technician must already be an AGSC Certified Auto Glass Technician, have at least three years of auto glass industry experience, and pass the organization’s Master Certification Technician Test.

This is an individual technician credential, not a title automatically given to an auto glass company. Company membership and technician certification work together, however. AGSC uses “certified” for technicians who work for AGSC Registered Member Companies. A technician who passes the same test but does not work for a registered member company receives the “qualified” designation instead.

The Auto Glass Safety Council & AGRSS Standard

Master Technician knowledge includes an understanding of ADAS, while calibration itself must be performed with the proper equipment and procedures for the vehicle.

Communication is part of the standard as well. You should understand what glass is being installed, what procedures are required, when the vehicle can be driven, whether calibration is needed, and what warranty applies to the workmanship.
